Nationwide rollout of the new CAS to 19 theory locations

In Schelluinen, the technical implementation of the new Construction and Administration System (CAS) was completed in mid-August. It covers all theory exams and CCV exams.

At the start of September, the CBR began rolling the system out to the other 19 theory locations. The rollout runs until mid-October. If the planning changes, the CBR says it will let people know in good time.

What changes for candidates

With CAS, the theory exam looks different for candidates.

• The two practice questions now fall within the exam time for all exams. The theory products were already set up this way.
• For some CCV exams, the practice questions are dropped. This applies to Dangerous goods (ADN, ADR and Safety adviser), Recreational navigation, Maritime radio communication, Amateur radio, Inland navigation and Private aviation.
• The screen layout has been redesigned.
• Candidates check in in a new way, with an exam code and a free choice of seat in the exam room.
• The content of the exam stays the same.
